Well, technically I don't have to get rid of it. I started work again today and being a newspaper we have to keep a certain level of professionalism. The editor said I could just comb it down rather then spike it up, but then it will look like a hardcore muttel. So I'm shaving it off. I'll look like a skinhead fore a little while, but I'll do it for my job.
And I'm sure the gf will be happy I don't have it anymore. As will her parents.
In other news, I'm applying to Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. Hopefully I'll get accepted so I can get out of this lame Junior College and be closer to my gf's college.

Just be careful when you shave your head. I used to bleach my hair and wear a mohawk too, then I had to cut off the blonde so I just shaved it. When my hair started coming back I noticed it wasn't coming in on the top. So now my only choices are to shave it or go for the comb over....I went with bald. But any way good luck with school and the job.

well, I'm 20 years old and I use to shave my head a lot, so I'm not to worried about it not growing back. And my hair is natual(no dye jubs or anything), so I'm not worried about my hair being damaged and not growing because of that.
